SAN DIEGO, Feb. 13, 2017 -- Mushroom Networks, innovators in Broadband-Bonding™ and Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN) platforms, today launched the Portabella 2000i, a hardened, ultra-portable Internet aggregation device that combines two 3G/4G/LTE internal embedded modems into a bonded, faster and robust Internet connection. Portabella 2000i sets a new standard for price/performance, as this platform is being delivered at a price point to compete with single modem 3G/4G/LTE routers. The result is a scalable platform that enables primary or failover connectivity for branch offices, trailers, kiosks or specialty vehicles.
Portabella 2000i has 2 built-in 3G/4G/LTE modems that the user can feed with SIM cards from the same or different carriers. Optionally, a primary wired Internet line can also be plugged into the Portabella’s WAN Ethernet port, to intelligently blend the wired line with the wireless lines for robust connectivity. Portabella includes built-in Wi-Fi, class-leading SD-WAN router, firewall, encryption, advanced quality-of-service, traffic shaping and filtering capabilities. The cloud-based monitoring portal facilitates easy rollout, monitoring and management for larger installations.
“Bonding two 3G/4G/LTE modems solves the inherent fluctuations in cellular performance and creates a true alternative to wired Internet connections, especially in fixed wireless and mobility applications,” said Cahit Akin, CEO of Mushroom Networks. “Going further, we are delivering this functionality at a price point that we feel will redefine this market.”
The Portabella 2000i is available now and is included in the Value Added Reseller (VAR) product portfolio worldwide. For questions, as well as Mushroom Networks’ entire portfolio of SD-WAN and Internet bonding solutions, please contact Mushroom Networks at https://www.mushroomnetworks.com.
