The Privacy Shield framework is administered by the International Trade Administration within the U.S. Department of Commerce and meets the requirements established by the European Commission to better safeguard the transfer of personal data and information between the EU and the U.S. The certification signifies compliance with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Frameworks, which includes stronger data protection obligations, formal redress for individuals, and rigorous controls.
