Ishigami has just experienced his best Valentine’s Day yet after receiving plenty (in his standards) of chocolates from Shuchiin girls, including two who have developed feelings for him namely Tsubame and Iino. But the reported “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” chapter 196 leaks seemed to be suggesting that another girl will become closer to Ishigami as multiple panels show him bonding with Hayasaka.
One of the supposed “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” chapter 196 page that got leaked, Hayasaka and Ishigami appear to be playing baseball and later spends some time at a bench beside a vending machine. In a follow-up leaked page, Ishigami is seen handing a canned beverage to Hayasaka, who then appears slightly blushing upon receiving the drink.
These “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” chapter 196 interactions were enough to spark speculations that Hayasaka might complicate the ongoing love triangle among Ishigami, Tsubame, and Iino. However, some fans argue that this does not necessarily mean Hayasaka is starting to like Ishigami.
It can be recalled that Shinomiya just recently let Hayasaka on her own, so the latter is now free to pursue relationships or friendships as she likes. Some fans then think that the rumored moments between IshiHaya in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” chapter 196 could just be the start of a good friendship and nothing romantic. Some fans even think that the leaked pages could just be a red herring of what’s really going to happen in the next chapter.

The manga series by Aka Akasaka went on a short break after the two-part story of the latest Valentine’s Day at Shuchiin. But, on the bright side, the hiatus is ending in a few days as “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” chapter 196 is expected to be released on Wednesday, July 29.
