Iggy Azalea's new meme cryptocurrency, MOTHER, soared over 120% after a major whale purchase, highlighting the significant impact of large individual actions in the volatile crypto market.
Iggy Azalea’s Meme Coin MOTHER Surges 120% to All-Time High After Major Whale Purchase
In a recent report by U.Today, this purchase, which involved a large volume of MOTHER tokens, has been a critical factor and a seismic event in the price increase we are currently witnessing, underscoring the power of individual actions in the cryptocurrency market.
June 6 marked an exhilarating moment for the cryptocurrency community. MOTHER, the new meme cryptocurrency introduced by Australian performer Iggy Azalea, witnessed an astounding surge of over 120%. This surge catapulted MOTHER to a new all-time high of $0.2306, a significant milestone that, according to CoinGecko data, not only has the potential but is poised to reshape the cryptocurrency landscape, ushering in a new era of meme coins.
The cryptocurrency's valuation has now reached nearly twenty-five billion dollars when fully diluted. According to crypto analytics firm Lookonchain, the most recent price increase occurred due to a speculator withdrawing $1.54 million in Solana (SOL) from Binance to acquire 8.6 million MOTHER tokens at $0.1789.
The recently introduced token is only accessible on minor cryptocurrency exchanges, including CoinEx, MEXC, and HTX. To acquire MOTHER tokens on these exchanges, users must create an account, deposit their desired cryptocurrency, and then use it to buy MOTHER tokens. Despite being on minor exchanges, the influx of new exchanges is rapidly acquiring momentum, indicating the growing interest in MOTHER.
Iggy Azalea's MOTHER Coin Sparks Controversy and Polarizes Crypto Community with Celebrity Involvement
In the interim, Azalea, who acquired immense fame with her chart-topping single “Fancy” in 2014, continues to be the subject of intense conversation in the crypto community. Her involvement in the cryptocurrency market, particularly with the introduction of MOTHER, has sparked a heated controversy. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin expressed his dissatisfaction with the most recent cryptocurrency trend on June 5, stating that he was 'unhappy' about the celebrity meme coin bonanza.
In response, Azalea posted a meme depicting herself holding a baby with Buterin's head, mocking the Ethereum co-founder in an apparent allusion to her viral meme coin. This controversy has divided and polarized the cryptocurrency community, with some applauding Azalea's involvement and others questioning its legitimacy, adding a layer of intrigue to the unfolding narrative.
As part of her active role in the cryptocurrency community, Azalea recently shared a post that drew comparisons between MOTHER and other established meme coins like dogwifhat and Pepe. With their listings on major cryptocurrency exchanges and multibillion-dollar valuations, these coins serve as a promising benchmark for MOTHER's potential, instilling optimism among the community.
Naturally, she maintains the interest of her followers by sharing amusing memes regarding the meme coin's performance.
The largest meme coin in Solana, dogwifhat, has a current valuation of over $3.3 billion.
