PALO ALTO, Calif., Sept. 22, 2016 -- Cloudera, the global provider of the fastest, easiest, and most secure data management and analytics platform built on Apache Hadoop and the latest open source technologies, announced today the finalists in each of this year’s eight Data Impact Awards categories. In its fourth year as the big data arena’s most reputable industry awards program, the Data Impact Awards recognize production deployments of CDH, the world’s most popular open source Hadoop-based distribution and the core of Cloudera Enterprise. All nominations are evaluated and scored by an objective panel of more than 30 judges representing thought leaders and influencers across the data management and analytics industry, based on four key criteria: creativity, maturity, relevance, and results. The winners will be announced at the annual Data Impact Awards Celebration on Tuesday, 27th September in tandem with Strata+Hadoop World, New York.
“The Data Impact Awards, to me, represent an annual benchmark of the most interesting and successful projects that have been built on the Hadoop platform,” said Mike Olson, co-founder and chief strategy officer, Cloudera. “Each year I look forward to seeing the stories that are brought to light through this program, and to recognizing the achievements of all CDH users. I’m looking forward to revealing this year’s winners, who span an even greater variety of use cases, industries, and locations than years past.”
