SAN DIEGO, Jan. 10, 2018 -- On the heels of growing discussions around the need for digital parenting solutions, leading parental control application OurPact is set to release localized versions of their software to four major markets across the world.
Recent research indicates that excessive mobile device use among youth is associated with increased risk of suicide and depression, sleep deprivation, addiction, and mental health issues. OurPact, a top-rated application, addresses these concerns by allowing parents to remotely manage children’s device habits through at-a-touch and scheduled blocking of applications, internet browsers, and device functions.
In the last month, the application has added an iOS Web Filter to their feature set, and released French, German, and Spanish translations. Despite being developed domestically and supporting a largely American user-base, OurPact understands that device addiction is a problem experienced by families around the world; to meet this growing international demand, four new languages – Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Dutch, and Brazilian Portuguese – are set to be released in the coming week.
“Mobile devices alone aren’t a problem; the applications they make available are,” Amir Moussavian, OurPact’s CEO states. “Educating parents and providing effective tools for healthy screen time management is paramount... We feel so privileged to share this solution with more parents around the world, at a time when it’s needed most.”
Since its release in 2013, OurPact has grown to support nearly a million child devices, and has consistently topped Apple’s lifestyle and grossing charts. Following this pending release, OurPact will be available for translation in seven languages, and for download in App Stores across the world.
