NORWALK, Conn., June 22, 2017 -- FactSet, a global provider of integrated financial information, analytical applications and industry-leading services, today announced the introduction of an XML Transcript Feed. The data feed for events and transcripts provides instant access to more than 15 years of FactSet CallStreet’s high-quality events and transcripts data, spanning eight different event types in a well-defined XML format.
This new XML feed enables investment professionals to conduct natural language processing to determine sentiment and potentially identify previously unseen trends or opportunities to generate alpha. By bringing structure to unstructured content, users have the ability to quickly perform historical analysis on firms, individuals, analysts, or brokers. The data feed leverages FactSet symbology to organize and connect disparate sources of information by mapping various identifiers and data points to a single master entity.
“Our goal is to help our clients access all of the data they need, in context, and delivered when and as needed,” said Rich Newman, SVP, Content and Technology Solutions, FactSet. “The flexibility of the data feed helps investors use their own tools to analyze this rich content source so they can see and seize opportunity sooner.”
