INDIANAPOLIS, June 26, 2017 -- BidPal, the leading mobile fundraising platform helping nonprofits raise more money and connect with more donors, announced that innovative executive Robert O. Carr has joined its board of directors. Click to Tweet.
Carr, an entrepreneur, philanthropist and author, is the CEO of Beyond, a newly launched business services and financial technology company. He was the founder and CEO of Heartland Payment Systems, a Fortune 1000 payments processing company acquired last year by Global Payments.
Carr also founded Give Something Back, a nonprofit charity that provides mentoring and college scholarships to students from lower-income families. He is the author of Through the Fires: An American Business Story of Turbulence, Triumph and Giving Back and Working Class to College: The Promise and Peril Facing Blue-Collar America.
“Bob is a perfect fit for the BidPal board. He brings both a passion for philanthropy and deep domain expertise in the payments industry. His knowledge and guidance will be invaluable as we continue to build the best mobile software, integrated payments and tech-enabled services business for the nonprofit market,” said Steve Johns, CEO of BidPal. “Bob is a man of integrity, vision and experience, and BidPal will benefit greatly from his involvement.”
“As the founder of a non-profit organization, I know that donors have come to expect the kinds of well-designed, user-friendly technologies that are used in the commercial sector,” Carr said. “BidPal provides a simple, seamless platform that makes it easier for non-profits to raise the money they need, which means their staff members will have more time to devote to their mission. I look forward to working with Steve Johns and BidPal to develop affordable, best-in-class fundraising and engagement solutions to help non-profits thrive.”
BidPal’s mobile fundraising software helps nonprofits engage donors and raise more money. The company raised an additional $6 million in funding at the end of last year, and Carr participated in the round.
