WASHINGTON, Jan. 31, 2017 -- FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE:FCN) today announced the appointment of Skip Walter as Chief Product Officer for the firm’s Technology segment. In his new role, Mr. Walter will lead the design and development of FTI Technology software products, including the award-winning Ringtail® e-discovery software platform and Radiance early case assessment software.

Mr. Walter brings more than 40 years of experience in executive management, software engineering and product development. His work in e-discovery as the founding CEO of Attenex helped increase the speed and accuracy of attorney review decisions through the use of concept clustering and visual analytics. As the Chief Product Officer for FTI Technology’s software offerings, Mr. Walter will continue to drive innovation and increase the firm’s collaboration with its diverse client base. This focus will include providing law firms, corporations, government agencies and legal service providers with software to process, analyze, review and produce data during early case assessment, investigation or e-discovery.

Prior to joining FTI Technology, Mr. Walter provided strategic planning and product roadmap design for startup technology companies pursuing social networking and visual analytics as well as e-discovery strategic planning for Global 1000 corporations. He was the founding CEO and Chief Technology Officer at Attenex, which was acquired by FTI Consulting in 2008.
Before founding Attenex, Mr. Walter was the creator of Digital Equipment Corporation’s ALL-IN-1 office automation system. He also served as Vice President of Engineering and New Venture Executive for Aldus Corporation (now part of Adobe, Inc.).
