Senku, the leader of the Kingdom of Science, has just accomplished a major milestone when he founded the Corn City in chapter 168. However, he is not taking a break and will reportedly move forward to his next goal in “Dr. Stone” chapter 169 that involves traveling halfway across the world.

‘Dr. Stone’ chapter 169 spoilers, leaks

Unlike other manga series, pre-release leaks and spoilers are not abundantly available for “Dr. Stone.” The same case applies to chapter 169, but there are reports on what the main events are going to be in the next chapter. As of this writing, only two major turning points have been reported and one of them is Senku’s plan to travel to South America.

Fans recall it was stated in a previous chapter that South America was the likely region that was first hit with the petrification. This meant that the beam of light that changed the entire world had originated in South America. Since Senku’s ultimate goal has always been to revive humanity, it makes sense for the leader of the Kingdom of Science to want to go to the source of petrification.

What is more interesting is the planning that would be required for this trip, which hopefully would be tackled in “Dr. Stone” chapter 169. The current arc is set in Japan, so it means South America is thousands of miles away and it would require plenty of preparations to travel that long safely. It should also be noted that South America is an entire continent, and Senku might want to specifically identify the location where the petrification beam originated to understand the phenomenon. There is no doubt that Senku will find a way to do it.

Another reported “Dr. Stone” chapter 169 leak has something to do with the Medusa, aka the petrification device. The chapter will purportedly reveal where it is currently located, and that it is “at the bottom of the river.” It remains unknown, though, how it ended up there and if Xeno had planned for it to be there.

‘Dr. Stone’ chapter 169 release date

Since there are not many leaked pages to support these reports, it is best to take these with a grain of salt. On the bright side, “Dr. Stone” chapter 169 will be released in the next few days. The official copy with the full English translation will be available for free on Manga Plus and Shonen Jump online.
