SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 14, 2018 -- CloudGenix, the leader in Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN), has announced that industry veteran and WAN innovator Mukhtiar Shaikh has been appointed Chief Technology Officer of the company. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Shaikh has served as the Chief Architect at CloudGenix, providing leadership on product and solution architecture, and working with global accounts to design and successfully deploy CloudGenix AppFabric at scale.
Prior to CloudGenix, Mr. Shaikh served as a Distinguished Engineer at Cisco Systems, a title that is reserved for the absolute elite in networking. Additionally, Mr. Shaikh was a Distinguished Network Architect at Brocade Communications. Mr. Shaikh is considered a domain expert in many Wide Area Networking technologies including MPLS, BGP, virtualization, and software-defined networking. Mr. Shaikh is the author of and contributor to several patents on these topics.
