BTS V made a surprise appearance on the set of “Itaewon Class” and it was revealed that he dropped by to show his support to Park Seo Joon, the lead actor in the drama. He is also known as one of the singer’s good friends who he usually hangs out with when they have free time.

Display of true friendship

South Korea’s news outlet Newsen reported that BTS V visited on March 16 and Seo Joon was not really aware that he is coming. Thus, the actor was really touched by his “dongsaeng’s” gesture. The two got to know each other and became close after starring together in the 2016 hit drama “Hwarang.”

BTS V is also somehow part of “Itaewon Class” because he sang its original soundtrack titled “Sweet Night.” Most probably, it was also because of Park Seo Joon that he agreed to lend his voice for the drama’s OST.

V’s new music achievement

In any case, the said song is BTS V’s very first solo track and it already topped the iTunes Chart in many countries as soon as it was released. It was said that “Sweet Night” did not stop there as it is also making a record in the U.K. music market.

On Sunday, March 15, the country’s Big Top 40 chart listed BTS V’s “Sweet Night” at no. 37. It was the idol singer’s debut on the acclaimed chart that is widely recognized in the region. It is actually the U.K.’s biggest music chart with more than 2.2 million weekly listeners and it determines the ranking by combining the number of streams and actual sales.

V’s fan club shared on Twitter that “Sweet Night” is also the first Korean OST in history to debut on UK’s Official Big Top 40 chart. This is an impressive feat as he also become the first member in his group to attain this highest solo entry in the U.K. Furthermore, Kim Taehyung is now the second Korean solo singer to achieve no. 1 in U.K.’s iTunes Singles Chart, the first was Psy.
