Dallas, TX, July 31, 2017 -- Associa, the industry’s largest community management company, is a national sponsor of the 34th Annual National Night Out (NNO) campaign to help promote community safety, unity and crime prevention.
NNO is a yearly campaign that promotes law enforcement and community partnerships across all fifty states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities, and military bases on the first Tuesday in August, with Texas celebrating on the first Tuesday in October. Neighbors will band together to show support for each other and take a symbolic stand against crime in their area.
Communities will be hosting a variety of events including block parties, festivals, parades and cookouts that will include safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from local law enforcement and emergency personnel and more. The events will focus on raising awareness to make neighborhoods safer and more understanding places to live while bringing back a sense of community.
On August 1st, Associa employees, along with popular mascot Scout, will join Associa Supports Kids to attend more than 125 events nationwide. The events will take place throughout Associa and non-Associa managed communities to help build positive relationships and strengthen neighborhood spirit. They will be sharing kid-friendly items including Scout’s safety-tips coloring and activity booklets, bright yellow “Safe & Strong” silicon wristbands, and for parents, ChildPrint ID kits.
“This is the sixth year that Associa has sponsored and participated in National Night Out and we are honored to be a part of such a community oriented campaign. It is so important that we take the time to work together and build relationships with our neighbors and local law enforcement to make our communities stronger, safer and a better place to live,” stated Mac Staples, Associa Community Management Corporation vice president and volunteer at the Hagerstown Police Department’s NNO event. “We will be out in the communities supporting our local emergency responders as well as building support systems with our neighbors and community leaders. We look forward to continuing the tradition for many years to come.”
