My research interests focus on variable stars, which I use to probe the structure and evolution of nearby galaxies and the Universe as a whole.
By using information about different populations of variable stars, I study the 3D and chemical structure of galaxies, examining how they have evolved over time and how they interact with each other.
I am also interested in the evolution of the Universe, using variable stars to study the expansion rate of the Universe. This in turn gives us a better understanding of its composition and evolution.
