Matthew Abunyewah has a BSC in Development Planning from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He also holds a certificate in quantitative research methods from the Australian Consortium for social and political research (ACSPRI). He has a rich academic and practical background in urban and regional planning. He has worked as an Assistant Project Coordinator for local NGOs such as Rural Aid Alliance Foundation and Nature Aid Ghana. As a result of his unimpeachable analytical acumen and experience, Matthew won one of the prestigious scholarships in Australia to pursue a PhD in Disaster Management at the University of Newcastle in 2015. Currently, he is a PhD scholar and a tutor for undergraduate courses in construction and disaster management such as Fire Safety, Research in the Built Environment, Compliance and Disaster Resilience in the Built Environment in the University of Newcastle.
