Hanne Nielsen is a lecturer at the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies, University of Tasmania. She holds a PhD in Representations of Antarctica from UTAS, and a Masters in Antarctic Studies from the University of Canterbury. Hanne's background is in literary studies (BA Hons in German Literature, University of Auckland) and her passion is for the Southern Continent.
