Allison M. Prasch is Assistant Professor of Rhetoric, Politics, and Culture in the Department of Communication Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she teaches courses in rhetoric, political communication, foreign policy, and the U.S. presidency.
Her research focuses on U.S. presidential rhetoric and public address, with a particular focus on the Cold War. Her first book, "The World is Our Stage: The Global Rhetorical Presidency and the Cold War," will be published by the University of Chicago Press in Spring 2023.
Dr. Prasch is the recipient of a number of scholarly awards, including the National Communication Association's Golden Anniversary Monograph Award and the American Society for the History of Rhetoric's Outstanding Dissertation Award. Her expert commentary has been featured in the Washington Post, U.S. News & World Report, C-SPAN, and Public News Service.
