Hussain recently completed his Ph.D. from Texas A&M University. He is currently working as a post-doctoral researcher at ADVANCE, Texas A&M University. Hussain focuses on the intersection among race, religion, and gender in sports and eSports context. Specifically, his area of interest highlights issues and challenges faced by the various Muslim communities (e.g., Muslim women and Muslim refugees) within and beyond the Muslim world. Furthermore, via research, Hussain’s goal is not only to highlight the key challenges but to provide solutions to enhance marginalized communities’ sports participation.
