I'm a researcher in 3D bioprinting with a background in physics/nanoscience. I work with surgeons, engineers and biologists to develop ways to print 3D tissues using living cells.
In early 2017 I took on the role of Centre Manager at BioFab3D, a state-of-the-art bioengineering research, education and training hub located at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne. Equipped with advanced biofabrication technology, such as 3D bioprinters and tissue bioreactors, the centre brings researchers and clinicians together to develop and produce replacement body parts.
BioFab3D a not-for-profit initiative and is a stand-alone facility of the planned Aikenhead Centre for Medical Discovery (ACMD). BioFab3D@ACMD is a collaboration between St Vincent’s Hospital (Melbourne), the University of Melbourne, Swinburne University of Technology, RMIT University and the University of Wollongong.
