PhD Candidate and Associate Lecturer in Media and Communications, Goldsmiths, University of London
I am a third-year PhD student and Associate Lecturer in Media and Communications at Goldsmiths, having previously graduated in the same field from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
My qualitative PhD research looks at communication practices of Serbian Londoners and their identities, with a focus on their ordinary expressions of nationalism and cosmopolitanism in the digital media environments. To this end, I have conducted 18-month long ethnographic research, including online ethnography and auto-ethnography, and in-depth interviews.
I teach third-year undergraduate students in seminars for Social Media in Everyday Life module that explores how people from different cultural and social backgrounds engage with social and mobile media.
Further, I am also a Peer Reviewer for the International Communication Association, and was collaborating with the LSE Media and Communications Department on a project "Migration and the Media."
