Dr Rob Hess is an Associate Professor in the College of Sport and Exercise Science at Victoria University. He is the former president of the Australian Society for Sports History, and currently Managing Editor of the International Journal of the History of Sport. He is also an associate of Victoria University's Institute for Sport, Exercise and Active Living. In 2016 he co-authored (with Brunette Lenkic) Play On! The Hidden History of Women's Australian Rules Football (Echo, 2016).
