Yogiyo-GS Retail announced the launching of the “Yo Convenience Store”, where customers can immediately receive their orders nationwide. This service has also pushed GS Retail’s GS25 convenience store chains to jump into the express grocery delivery market.
With the availability of the Yogiyo-GS Retail’s Yo Convenience Store, customers can take advantage of the 1-hour express deliveries for groceries. This is Yogiyo’s new quick e-commerce service created in cooperation with GS Retail.
The companies unveiled their new offering on Tuesday this week. And now that it has been officially launched, customers can have their items purchased from GS25 delivered to their doorsteps within an hour, anywhere in the country, as per The Korea Times.
To make sure that Yo Convenience Store will be easily accessible to customers, Yogiyo has made some improvements to its website. In particular, it made its interface more user-friendly, and this is expected to make customers’ experience on the platform a lot better than before.
Moreover, Yogiyo also announced that it is planning to expand its service area. The company will open the express delivery service in 500 GS25 locations in South Korea. Later on, it will add more stores to the list, and the aim is to reach 6,000 outlets by June.
Customers who will have their items delivered via the Yo Convenience Store can ask for special packaging services for their online orders. This offer will allow them to buy beverages and other things that need to be securely packed, however, this can be availed for a fee. Customers may also choose to pick up their orders at the nearest GS25 store in their area.
“With the launch of the quick commerce service that maximizes the core capabilities of Yogiyo and GS Retail, both Yogiyo and GS Retail, following Yomart, we are able to provide differentiated ordering experiences and options to customers,” Yogiyo’s head of new business unit, Park Woo Hyun, said in a press release.
