U.S. President Donald Trump announced plans to speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday, emphasizing efforts to end the ongoing conflict.
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One late Sunday, Trump highlighted weekend discussions aimed at finding a resolution. “I’ll be speaking to President Putin on Tuesday. A lot of work’s been done over the weekend,” he stated during his return flight to Washington from Florida.
The president expressed cautious optimism about the potential outcome of the conversation. “We want to see if we can bring that war to an end. Maybe we can, maybe we can’t, but I think we have a very good chance,” he added.
The upcoming dialogue comes amid heightened global tensions, with the U.S. and its allies closely monitoring the situation. While Trump did not specify the details of their discussion, the call could play a pivotal role in shaping diplomatic efforts.
As international pressure mounts, world leaders and analysts await any significant developments from the high-stakes conversation. The outcome could have far-reaching implications for global stability and U.S.-Russia relations.
