‘The Elder Scrolls 6’ Release Date: Is There Going to be a Town-Building Gameplay in the Sixth Entry?

The “Elder Scrolls 6” isn’t expected to come out in the next few years as Bethesda’s manpower is currently being taken up by “Starfield.” However, this doesn’t stop fans from speculating what will be included in the game and the mechanics that the developers will implement inside it.

One of the most talked about possible feature of “The Elder Scrolls 6” is town-building. While “Skyrim” provided some minor gameplay in this regard, allowing players to upgrade their house in Whiterun, it pales in comparison to what “Fallout 4” has done.

In the wasteland, players are able to express their creativity by building sprawling towns equipped with heavy defenses; an entertainment area, varying shops, and more. “Elder Scrolls 6” can potentially integrate this gameplay into its mechanics, especially since “The Elder Scrolls: Blades” is already doing the same thing.

Of course, it’s not as hands-on compared to what you can do in “Fallout 4,” but it’s a start. Taking a page in the post-nuclear apocalyptic RPG would undoubtedly please Bethesda’s fan base and provide a more immersive experience for “The Elder Scrolls 6.”

The question is how it’s going to be handled. Simply mimicking the building mechanics of “Fallout 4” will not be enough for the sixth entry as the developers can do more with this approach. Judging by Todd Howard’s previous statement, however, it seems that whatever they’re planning for “The Elder Scrolls 6” is going to be huge.

“I could sit here and explain the game to you, and you would say, ‘That sounds like you don't even have the technology—how long is that going to take?’ And so it's something that's going to take a lot of time, what we have in mind for that game,” Howard said. As for its release date, nothing has been announced just yet. However, “The Elder Scrolls 6” is being speculated to come out in 2024. Read here to find out why this is.
