The upcoming “Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld” episode 13 will be the anime’s last season. This is the start of the second part that will end this installment.
The anime has been on hiatus for five months now, and the waiting time unexpectedly got longer. A1 Pictures originally intended to release “Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld” episode 13 in April, but the date has been moved for an unknown reason.
Plot and official synopsis
“Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld” episode 13 has been titled “The Great War of the Underworld” and posted on iMDb, its story synopsis reads: “The ice sniper from Gun Gale Online, Sinon, successfully log-on into Underworld using a super account Solus, the goddess of the sun, to help Asuna and Kirito inside the Underworld against tons of Crimson Army and The Dark Knight.”
“Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld” episode 13 will pick up from the finale of episode 12 titled “Ray of Light.” Alice was held captive, and Bercouli is trying to go after Vecta to save her. It is not known yet if the “Princess of Light” and his captor, Vecta, a.k.a. Gabriel will be able to reach their destination before the rescuers catch up and get Alice back.
On the ground, the battle in the underworld is ongoing and the Human Empire warriors, even if they got the support of the Pugilists, are not sure to win because the deployed America players are savage and they have more manpower too. What’s more, around 20,000 players are still coming and the Human Empire will not be able to handle them and some of the warriors may even die.
As mentioned in the plot summary, Kirito will be back and this is exactly the help that they need to defeat the American players. His return was also confirmed via the “Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld” episode 13 official trailer that was released late last year.
