Song Joong Ki’s divorce stories have been around for a while, and as he and Song Hye Kyo recover from their breakup, both of them are slowly going back to the entertainment industry. While the actress appears to be taking a break these days, the actor is very busy with filming for his movies.
Joong Ki’s new movie
Song Joong Ki recently left Blossom Entertainment and signed up with History D & C. For his first project with the company, the 34-year-old A-list actor accepted a role for the film called “Bogota.”
Allkpop reported that he would be working with director Kim Sung Jae for this gig. He will be supported by other Korean actors that include Kwon Hae Hyo and Lee Hee Jun. It was said that he and the rest of the filming crew have flown to Colombia for the filming and they are expected to stay there for three months.
It was further revealed that Song Hye Kyo’s ex-husband already visited the country to research and prepare for his role. The movie will tell the story of a Korean man who immigrated to Colombia in the 1990s.
"Song Joong Ki already visited Bogota once last month for preliminary research,” the source said. “He's very engrossed in preparing for this film."
The actor posed for a selfie with Juana del Rio
Aside from the Korean artists, Song Joong Ki is also working with some foreign actors. In Bogota, one of the actresses has been revealed after she posted a photo with Joong Ki, and she uploaded it on social media. Based on the writings on the picture, it was taken on the first day of their shoot.
The actress is Juana del Rio, and after their photo was uploaded, it quickly went viral. Most probably, this is because this is the first time in a long while that Song Joong Ki was ever pictured with another actress. Also, there are people who are seeing the Colombian actress as a prospective partner for the recently divorced actor.
Meanwhile, Song Joong Ki also completed the shoot for his sci-fi film called “Victory.” The production wrapped up in November 2019, but there is no premiere date yet for it.
