Lee Min Ho is one of the most talented and well-known celebrities in Asia. He started in South Korea, but his popularity shoot up, and people from other countries got to know him after the Hallyu Wave first exploded.

Today, he even holds fan meetings in various Asian countries like the Philippines, Japan, Indonesia, and Vietnam. He also travels to the U.S. and Europe to greet his foreign fans there, but then, he realized that fame comes with a price. Because he is popular, he is vulnerable to being bullied online since people can freely post anything on social media.

Bullying victim

Last year, Lee Min Ho’s agency, MYM Entertainment, revealed that Lee Min Ho is resting after suffering from mental stress. The company cited online bullying as the cause of the actor’s mental health issue.

Min Ho has a very clean image, so it is hard to believe that he is a victim of malicious comments too. This happened to the actor just a few weeks after he was discharged from the army. Then again, it was not mentioned how or why the 32-year-old actor had been attacked or bullied.

The fight against the cyberbullies

As per Allkpop, Lee Min Ho’s management agency will not allow their artists to be treated this way. They made an announcement telling the public that they will not hesitate to take legal action against people who spread lies, invent stories, or simply post hurtful comments that have no basis at all.

MYM stated that they have acted on the case at once to prevent Min Ho’s mental health from getting worse. Based on the report, the agency already filed some cases.

Has Min Ho already recovered?

Lee Min Ho showed signs of mental distress and psychological damage when the bullying was ongoing. His condition also affected his work, but fortunately, he was not doing any drama or movies yet at that time. He was able to take a break to unwind and had his condition treated by professionals.

Today, Lee Min Ho has recovered and healthy. He is able to work and currently filming his comeback drama “The King: The Eternal Monarch,” which will pair him with Goblin’s Kim Go Eun.
