Song Joong Ki has been in the show business for a long time, and in the more than a decade of his stay, people already know who his friends are and who are the stars he is close with. But then, it seems that he has more friends that the public did not know, and it was really surprising.
Who is Joong Ki’s unlikely friend?
This was revealed when Song Joong Ki’s name was brought up on the Jan. 21 episode of the SBS Love FM's “Kim Sang Hyuk and DinDin's Oppa Radio” radio show. On that day, one of the hosts, rapper and variety star DinDin, mentioned about his friendship with the “Descendants of the Sun” actor.
Since no one could not believe it, the rapper went on to reveal that he Joong Ki met while they were serving in the army together. He said that at that time, he is not yet a celebrity, but Song Joong Ki is already well-known, so he acted as his assistant inside the barracks.
"I met someone in the army that I would never be able to meet in real-life,” Allkpop quoted DinDin as saying. “It was fascinating. He greeted me warmly. So from then on, I took care of him as if I was his manager."
The actor’s new agency
In any case, Song Joong Ki is popularly known to be best friends with Lee Kwang Soo, who he met while still a member of the variety show SBS’ “Running Man.” His circle of friends is mostly composed of his other colleagues in Blossom Entertainment, which include Cha Tae Hyun, Park Bo Gum, Kim Ki Bang, and Lim Ju Hwan. Outside of the agency, his close friends include Kim Woo Bin, EXO’s D.O., and Jo In Sung.
Then again, the 34-year-old actor already left Blossom Entertainment, but it is assumed that he remained close friends with his now ex-colleagues there. He moved to History D&C Entertainment after his contract expired in December 2019.
South Korea’s YTN News reported that Song Joong Ki is starting his career this year with a new agency, and both parties are expecting great outcomes of their partnership. “History D&C is an entertainment company founded by Hwang Ki Yong,” the statement from the agency reads. “We will do our best to make sure Song Joong Ki and History D&C create positive synergy for each other and grow together.”
