“Rick and Morty” season 4 is another one of those long-delayed series and fans are almost getting tired of waiting. The last episode of the animation was aired in October 2017 and it is understandable that its viewers are already demanding for the next installment.

Now, due to the clamor for “Rick and Morty” to be released already, many rumors started to surface. While many rumors were theories about what will happen next in “Rick and Morty” season 4, others are about when the series is set to return.

The latest rumor is that the fourth installment of the beloved adult animation is coming on Christmas 2018 but this proved to be false since the series is not out yet until now. According to Newsweek, this idea came up because the creators of the show prefer surprise release over announcements and recalled that they had done this before.

In season 3, the show was reported to arrive on July 30, 2017, but this did not happen and surprisingly, it came out on April 1, on April Fool’s Day. There was no notice so everyone was surprised so many fans are thinking that Adult Swim is planning another surprise release on Christmas Day.

Moreover, Adult Swim updated its Twitter account with a 15-second clip on Dec 12 and it was captioned “Keep your enemies close and your portal gun closer.” This short video raised another idea that this is a hint that “Rick and Morty” season 4 is coming soon but there is no confirmation about this yet.

As pointed out by Independent, a total of 70 episodes has been ordered for the “Rick and Morty” season 4 and this is a lot. This will take a longer time to complete and since the creators of the show are known to be slow, it can be assumed that the fourth installment can come really late.

“Rick and Morty” season 4 has no definite release date yet so unfortunately, the will have to continue at this point.
