“Power” season 6 episode 15 finally concluded the past weekend on Starz. This is the much-awaited finale as the viewers want to know the identity of Ghost’s (Omari Hardwick) killer.
Finale’s synopsis
The final episode of “Power” season 6 episode 15 has been titled “Exactly How We Planned” as per IMDb, its official plot summary reads: “When Ghost is announced as Lt. Governor it gives him a solid win and makes him one step closer to a fully legitimate world. He soon discovers one of his many enemies carrying out a plan that changes his life forever.”
It was also confirmed that Ghost has died, and this refuted the theory that he is alive and faked his death so he can easily escape from everyone and live a new life somewhere else. When the hunt for his assassin started, there were seven suspects at that time, and this includes Tariq, Tasha, Dre, Tommy, Saxe, Paz, and Tate.
The list narrowed down to four and eventually to three with Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr), Tasha (Naturi Naughton), and Cooper Saxe in the list. It was proven that Tommy did not do it, and in fact, he witnessed Ghost’s shooting and tried to go after the culprit.
Who is the shooter?
“Power” season 6 episode 15 opens with a flashback that shows a scene that makes it look like Tasha was the real shooter. This is because the flashback showed her telling Tariq that he should not worry because Ghost had been taken care of.
She told her son that the police already know Ghost’s role in the murder of Terry Silver, so they will be looking for him now. But then, the next day, it was announced that Ghost is running lieutenant governor, and this upset Tariq.
Tasha then learned from Tate that Ghost is turning over Tariq to the police for Ray Ray’s murder so he can start cleanly in his campaign. He also encouraged his son to surrender, and it will be alright because after he wins, his political power can set him free, but Tariq only felt betrayed.
Tariq eventually turned against his father, and with the gun, he got from Dre in exchange for information about Ghost, he set out to kill his own father. In the end, he may have pulled the trigger, but the real mastermind was Tasha as she tried to frame people for Ghost’s murder so she could cover hers and her son’s track.
Spinoffs are on the way
TV Line reported that Starz just announced that it would release three “Power” spinoffs. The major characters will be the focus of each prequel, and they are Kanan, Tate, and Tommy. Their stories will be released as “Power” Book III, Book IV and Book V with Kanan’s story as the first and Tommy’s in the fifth book.
