Phil Collins is dying? Singer’s pals fear he will be gone before Christmas: Report

Phil Collins is on the headline of tabloids this week as he and his ex-wife Orianne Cevey entered a court battle as he tries to get back his mansion. As the singer’s stress level is going up due to his personal issues, the 69-year-old’s friends are reportedly worried that his health condition will worsen, and he may be gone before the year 2021 comes.

The abandoned lover and his health

In an article published by the National Enquirer titled “Paradise Fades for the Jilted Phil Collins,” it was claimed that the heartbreak caused by his ex-wife is the final blow to the ailing singer. Friends of the “Against All Odds” singer fears that after Orianne betrayed and got him into this mess of having to go to the court to get back his mansion in Miami, his health may deteriorate, and he may not even be alive before Christmas!

It was said that Phil Collins was utterly shocked after learning that Orianne, who he divorced in 2006 but reconciled in 2016, married a younger man, without his knowledge, when they were still together. He was shocked that he served an eviction notice to his wife to get her to leave their home in Miami for good.

But the problem is - she is refusing to go and even brought her 31-year-old husband, Thomas Bates, in the home to live with her. This act is more than a betrayal because the two of them are inhabiting the $33 million residences he built through his blood and sweat.

“He’s the shell of the chirpy, positive guy everyone knows and loves - because this relationship has sucked the life out of him,” the insider told the tabloid.

Phil Collins was said to have been suffering from various serious illnesses in recent years, and more often, it was alleged that he needs to be in a wheelchair. The situation he is currently in was what made his friends say that “it’ll be a miracle if he makes it until Christmas.” They added that if his health issues do not kill him, a broken heart will.

Debunking the story

Gossip Cop concluded that this story is totally false, at least in the part that claimed Phil Collins will be dead before Christmas. It is true that he needed to be in a wheelchair, but this was because due to his bad fall in 2016, and despite the injury, he continued to go on tour.

It is also true that he is currently battling Cevey in court so he can take back control of his beachfront Miami mansion that his ex-wife took over with her new husband. However, he is not dying, and in fact, he just reunited with his Genesis bandmates, and they are set to go on tour in 2021.
