The past few days have been full of surprises for subscribers of the Xbox Game Pass. Now, Microsoft announced that “Outriders” is the next third-party game getting a day-one launch in its subscription service.
‘Outriders’ will be released on Android devices, too
What this means is gamers paying the Xbox Game Pass monthly subscription fee are getting the full game without any additional cost on the same day it launches on other platforms on April 1. However, while “Outriders” is also getting released on Windows PC, the game will only be added to the Xbox Game Pass Console and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate libraries.
PC players will have to be subscribed to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate tier, which costs $14.99 a month, to access the game. On the other hand, this also means the game can be played on compatible Android devices via cloud gaming that the Ultimate plan offers as well.
Can Xbox Game Pass members cancel their ‘Outriders’ pre-orders?
Since the Xbox Game Pass announcement happened relatively close to the release date of “Outriders,” it is understandable if many subscribers have already pre-ordered the game. Luckily, developer People Can Fly confirmed in a Reddit post that the cancellation of Xbox pre-orders will be accommodated.
To initiate cancellation requests, start by signing using Microsoft accounts through this link that will bring customers directly to their orders page. Look for “Outriders” on the pre-order history, which would be listed with the date when the game was bought, where an option to cancel should be available.
The developer stated that there should be no cancellation charges for customers who bought the game either through a credit card or their Microsoft account credits. However, “Outriders” fans might also encounter cases where a cancellation option is not present, especially if they carry out this process within 10 days before the game’s release. In this case, the developer recommends players contact Xbox support through these links. The process for those who pre-ordered through third-party retailers, though. For that, People Can Fly advises fans to contact their respective customer support lines.
Xbox Game Pass subscribers who do not have to worry about canceling any pre-orders should take advantage of the free “Outriders” demo that is already live. It gives fans a chance to check out the game’s full opening chapter and prologue cutscenes along with its four unique character classes.
