“One Piece” episode 939 is going to focus on Yasuie’s final moments as well as recall his relationship with Oden in the past. After the series established Yasuie as a very noble character in Wano, unfortunately, this is now the point where he meets his demise.
‘One Piece’ episode 939 plot: Yasuie’s inevitable tragic fate
Yasuie may not look like a formidable character, but the people of Wano he is a hero. This makes his tragic fate that will unfold in “One Piece” episode 939 an even tougher pill to take. The preview shows Yasuie in a crucifix as Orochi orders for his execution.
Before his demise, “One Piece” episode 939 is likely to reveal a few more details about Yasuie especially his role in Wano 20 years ago. He used to be the daimyo of the Hakumai region and served the Kozuki family faithfully. In the manga, a flashback sequence was shown where Yasuie was convincing Oden to embrace his role of being the Kozuki heir and the next shogun of Wano.
While being crucified, Yasuie would narrate in “One Piece” episode 939 what happened after Oden died. Orochi rallied the remaining daimyo across Wano -- himself included -- and tried to convince them to become his loyal allies. But they all declined and declared loyalty to Oden. Yasuie would also remind the people of Wano that all the country’s beautiful aspects were done by the work of the Kozuki family and were only ruined under Orochi’s rule.
One of the last things Yasuie would discuss in “One Piece” episode 939 is about the rebellion symbol being passed around Wano. Yasuie would claim that he only did it as a prank and it did not mean anything, but this is actually Yasuie’s one last attempt to save the alliance’s plan. He hopes that by saying the symbol does not mean anything, he would redirect the attention of Orochi’s forces allowing for alliance’s plan to still push through. This is also going to be one of Yasuie’s final sacrifices fulfilling his vow to help bring back Wano to its former glory.
