Paris Hilton set up her own virtual world and will be holding a party on metaverse this New Year's Eve. The venue for her extravagant party is on a virtual island on Roblox.
As per Reuters, Paris Hilton created the metaverse site and called it the Paris World. Visitors of the virtual island can "walk" through and explore digital models of the 40-year-old socialite's Beverly Hills estate including the dog mansion.
Virtual visitors to Paris' metaverse space can also walk along the boardwalk that was designed based on the neon carnival theme that she and her husband Carter Reum had for their wedding celebration earlier this year. The couple hosted their wedding guests at the Santa Monica Pier in California which is the actual location.
Moreover, visitors of Paris World can also choose to navigate the entire island while riding a luxury sports car or on the water via the Sunray yacht. With the opening of the Paris World on Roblox, Paris Hilton is also starting her own metaverse business since she will be collecting a small fee for jet ski ride bookings and the purchase of virtual clothing on her virtual world.
"For me, the metaverse is somewhere that you can do everything you can do in real life in the digital world," Reuters quoted Paris as saying in a statement. "Not everybody gets to experience that, so that is what we've been working together on over the past year -- giving them all my inspirations of what I want in that world."
As for choosing Roblox to create her own metaverse, Paris Hilton explained that she thinks the platform is the right site since it is an incredible platform. Her space on Roblox will come complete with a private jet, DJ stages, her house, a zoo, and more. Her own avatar will start living on the island soon.
"Roblox is such an amazing gaming platform to be a part of and it's so exciting to be launching Paris World," she told Variety. "I can't wait for my fans, new users, and the gaming community to experience my metaverse."
