Developers of “NBA 2K20” reportedly updated the ratings on numerous players. Miami Heat’s Bam Adebayo is gaining multiple points while veterans Kevin Love and Draymond Green each lost a point.
Ratings of the players are one of the most monitored aspects of “NBA 2K20” and its predecessor titles. 2K Games normally announces ratings update, but some major changes were recently applied, and the developers have yet to say a word on it.
‘NBA 2K20’ ratings update: Who went up and down the OVR ladder?
The latest ratings update in the “NBA 2K20” was reported by Pete Toal, and it is still unknown why 2K Games have yet to make a proper announcement. However, seeing that the list of changes is much shorter than the updates the game publisher officially announced earlier this month and in late November, it could be the reason why developers just let gamers notice the update by themselves.
The biggest rating addition was awarded to Houston Rockets guard Ben McLemore, who now has 76 overall rating after a five-point boost. He is followed by Seth Curry, who acquired four added points bringing his “NBA 2K20” OVR rating to 78.
Adebayo is probably one of the names basketball fans have been hearing in the previous weeks. The sophomore has greatly contributed to the Heat’s current 23-8 run. Adebayo currently averages 15.8 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game. And now, 2K Games awarded him with three more overall rating points bringing his “NBA 2K20” number up to 86.
Biggest Risers in 12-20-19 #NBA2K20 Roster Update:
— Pete Toal (@PeteToal) December 21, 2019
B. McLemore - 76 (+5)
Seth Curry - 78 (+4)
B.Adebayo - 86 (+3)
D. Graham - 83 (+3)
Norvel Pelle - 71 (+3)
Lonnie Walker - 74 (+3)
Jaylen Brown - 85 (+2)
Davis Bertans - 79 (+2)
Not everyone can be winners, though, and some players featured in “NBA 2K20” can attest to that. Love and Green are currently the main leaders of Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors, respectively. But their OVR rating just went down to 82. Kyle Korver has also lost three points while D’Angelo Russell got a two-point deduction giving them their new ratings of 72 and 85, respectively.
‘NBA 2K20’ is currently on sale with a huge discount
The annual iterations of “NBA 2K” are some of the anticipated titles in the video game industry. However, the “NBA 2K20” was welcomed immediately with disgruntled reviews as the hashtag #Fix2K20 went viral on its first day in stores. Even today, the game’s overall review on Steam is categorized as Mostly Negative while its Metacritic user scores on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One did not even reach 1 out of 10.
Some basketball and video game fans might be hesitant to buy the game. But the game is currently on sale across these platforms, so fans will have to worry less about spending their money amid these reviews. Steam, PS Store, and Microsoft Store are offering “NBA 2K20” with a 50 percent discount on its $59.99 regular price.
