Many have admired the relationship of former President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama for as long as they were in office and even until now. However, the former presidential couple has been under fire as rumors and claims revealed that they had a hand in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s resignation from being active royals.
Express reports that an anonymous source claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been seeking the advice of the Obamas regarding how they can work and be financially independent rather than as royals. The claims went on to say that due to the consistent success of the Obamas with their current endeavors, it is something the Duchess has admired and hoped to emulate once she and Prince Harry leave.
The claims then triggered a lot of backlash from the locals, wondering when were the Obamas qualified to advise royals like the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Some even commented that they never want to hear about the presidential couples in any way, and some even questioned the idea that the Obamas would know how it is to be in the ruling class for centuries.
Fortunately, a source debunked all the claims, saying that the Obamas have never been in contact with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and have never advised them about anything.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are currently in a media whirlwind after their announcement that they would be resigning their positions as active senior royals and are currently in the process of trying to find a solution regarding their involvement in the future.
Meanwhile, more success is coming to the Obamas despite getting tangled up in a media frenzy concerning the royals. Michelle is reported to have topped another prestigious list for 2019. The former First Lady’s book “Becoming,” landed the number one spot on the most borrowed book in the New York Public Library. The book was number one on the categories of biographies, fiction, and non-fiction.
This announcement follows another major announcement that Michelle would be receiving a Grammy for Best Spoken Word Album. Her husband was also a previous recipient of the same award.
