First Lady Melania Trump’s citizenship is often questioned by many until today, knowing her husband’s policies regarding immigrants. However, reports have revealed that the First Lady has some inconsistencies regarding what she disclosed in order to apply for a visa, specifically, her education.
Politicalflare reports that Melania, back when she was known as Melania Knauss, received the so-called “Einstein visa” which is usually reserved for those who have shown extraordinary ability, from Nobel, Pulitzer, Oscar winners to Olympic athletes and medallists, scientists as well as multinational executives. As with any visa application, Melania had to disclose all the necessary information, including her educational attainment. Back in 2013, the future First Lady was involved in a lawsuit regarding her skincare line, and during the lawsuit, it was revealed that she may have lied under oath.
Melania said at the time during the deposition that she graduated from an unspecified university in her home country of Slovenia with a degree in architecture. However, Melania eventually came clean about it and it was later revealed that she dropped out of college after her first year to pursue her modeling career in Paris and Milan, backtracking what was previously written on her bio on the government website. A former teacher of Melania’s back in the university, Blaz Matija Vogelnik, also appeared to confirm that the First Lady did not complete her degree. “She hasn’t finished university, at least not in Ljubljana. My personal opinion is that because she was very beautiful girl...I believe that she realized that she could gain more with that than to have long studies.”
Meanwhile, her husband Donald Trump was recently acquitted for both articles of impeachment by the Senate last week. The President addressed his acquittal in a speech last Thursday, and Melania was present to support him while looking her most fashionable. The First Lady wore a white and black polka dot blouse by Gabriela Hearst and a black high-waisted pencil skirt. She completed her outfit of the day with a black blazer that she only draped over her shoulders and a pair of Christian Louboutin heels. Her only other accessory to the outfit was the engagement ring that she often wears, the diamond having been upgraded by Donald during an anniversary.
