Fall is usually a very busy season for the gaming community, and it appears that fans have more content to anticipate. Gaming reporter Jeff Grubb recently hinted at an October launch for something he referred to as “Remasster.” It did not take long for his followers to figure out that he may have been talking about “Mass Effect Trilogy Remastered.”
‘Mass Effect Trilogy Remastered’ release date: When is it really launching?
Grubb’s Summer Game Mess update on Twitter stirred another round of speculations on when the highly anticipated “Mass Effect Trilogy Remastered” is really hitting the stores. His post suggested that it is happening sometime in October. It should be noted though that this is not the only rumored release window for the game collection.

Earlier this month, “Mass Effect Trilogy Remastered” also made headlines after an apparent leak that started from the GAME retail store in the United Kingdom. Several gamers attested that they were able to pre-order the bundle in-store and online, albeit the absence of an official announcement from the game developers.
People who were able to pre-order “Mass Effect Trilogy Remastered” were given receipts that indicated it is going to be released on Sept. 27. After this happy conundrum was widely reported, GAME customers received an email saying their “N7” pre-orders had been canceled due to a “communication error” adding that the game they paid for “does not exist.”
Some fans do not buy into the explanation, though saying it seems more absurd for a popular retail store like GAME to open pre-orders if they did not have any solid confirmation of its existence. They make a good point, but fans are still advised to take these reports with a pinch of salt until a formal announcement happens.
‘Mass Effect Trilogy Remastered’ compatibility: What to expect
“Mass Effect Trilogy Remastered” has been a long time coming considering that the third main series installment was released in 2012 -- a time before the current generation consoles came out. This should explain the level of anticipation within the gaming community for the announcement of the remastered titles.
If “Mass Effect Trilogy Remastered” was indeed in the pipeline, it is very likely to be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Without an official announcement, it is still unclear if the games are also arriving to the PS5 and Xbox Series X systems later this year given the timing of its rumored release dates in late September or October.
