Jungkook is known to break records as his popularity continues to soar around the world. People recognize him almost everywhere that he even made a new record alongside the powerful former president of the United States, Barack Obama.
Allkpop reported that on Twitter, only the BTS member and Obama have multiple tweeter posts that gained more than two million likes. Jungkook’s tweets the past weeks are also listed in BTS’ top 3 most liked tweets.
His first tweet to gain two million likes was a post made last year. His latest post that already exceeded 200,000 comments in just an hour after the posting proved that he is truly the SNS king.
Jungkook’s “Euphoria”
The youngest member of BTS is also trending since last week because his solo track “Euphoria” is being talked about again. This is after the song was revealed to have been named as the most-streamed solo male idol track on Spotify. It was also included in the TOP 50 longest-charting songs on Melon music chart in Korea.
“‘EUPHORIA’ by #Jungkook surpassed 130M streams on Spotify and remained to be the MOST STREAMED BTS SOLO on said platform,” the 22-year-old singer’s fansite tweeted.
TC Candler’s nominee in 2020
Finally, in another achievement even if there is lockdown around the word due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Jungkook was nominated in TC Candler’s most beautiful faces for 2020. This is his second time in the running and in last year’s race, he emerged as the winner. The organization revealed the official list of nominees last week.
“As always, the first nominee of the year for The 100 Most Handsome Faces of 2020 is last year's champion... Jungkook of BTS,” the organization wrote in the caption of Jungkook’s photo.
Jungkook, the BTS member, ranked no. 1 last year as the most handsome man while Twice’s Tzuyu topped the list for the most beautiful females. This TC Candler’s event is being staged every year and organized by TC Candler & The Independent Critics since 1990. Certain judges within the body pick the winner but the fans are also allowed to vote for their idols.
