"Jack Ryan” season 3 is going to be one of the most awaited series this new decade. While the third installment has been confirmed for a while now, fans still do not have any idea what is going to happen next for Jack (John Krasinski) and James Greer (Wendell Pierce).
The beauty of Amazon Prime Video’s take on this classic action piece created by Tom Clancy is that there does not seem to be one rigid storyline. As seen in the first two seasons, it featured completely different conflicts and missions without undermining the developments of the foundational characters of the show. It is then highly likely for “Jack Ryan” season 3 to show Jack, and James caught in another international dilemma with a slew of new faces that could either be their enemies or their allies.
‘Jack Ryan’ season 3 cast: New characters are very likely arriving
In season 2, Jack and James went to South America to tackle a corrupt government that led to another string of deaths and risky actions. The new place also came with new faces, with the most remarkable being the two new allies Mike November (Michael Kelly) and Harry Baumann (Noomi Rapace) as well as leading adversaries Max (Tom Wlaschiha) and Nicolas Reyes (Jordi Molla).
The arrival on these latest added characters was, of course, made possible by the new storyline introduced in season 2. Since the synopsis of “Jack Ryan” season 3 is still under wraps, there is no way of knowing whether any of these characters will come back or if they would be replaced by another set of recurring cast.
‘Jack Ryan’ season 3 plot, release date
The end of season 2 pretty much put an end to its plot. This could call for an all-new story in “Jack Ryan” season 3 while also tying up loose ends for main characters like James.
It can be recalled that he may have hinted at no longer joining field works with Jack in the future. But their partnership in action is an important foundation of the show. It is then interesting how the writers could resolve this in “Jack Ryan” season 3.
“Jack Ryan” season 3’s release date is another mystery fans are trying to unravel. Unfortunately. Amazon and the cast are still mum on the production timeline. However, the start of season 3 filming has not been reported yet, suggesting that it may not have started at this point. Considering the production timeline of seasons 1 and 2, a season 3 premiere within 2020 now seems unlikely.
