Users have been expecting the Google Pixel 3 to come out in October, although the exact date had not yet been given. Now, the company announced that their new smartphone will drop on Oct. 9, The Verge reported.

While Google hasn’t shown the phone just yet, Pixel 3 units have been making the round on the web showing how the company designed the flagship. And if these leaks prove to be what they are believed to be, then the company might have a hard time selling the Google Pixel 3 to consumers.

There are several reasons for this and one of them is it’s supposed 4GB RAM. The Google Pixel 3’s predecessor was outfitted with similar specifications and consumers have been asking the manufacturer to increase the device’s Random Access Memory.

The request is due to declining performances of phones that are given a 4GB RAM, with the efficiency dropping after eight to 10 months of use. Another complaint that is being expressed by consumers is the huge and deep notch of the Google Pixel 3.

Users have been annoyed by the trend of outfitting a phone with a notch since it blocks some of the video being played on the device. And given how huge the notch on Google Pixel 3, it’s understandable why some are irked by this choice of design. Of course, this is basing all of it on the leaks that are circulating on the internet.

The real Google Pixel 3 hasn’t been officially revealed and only the company and a few select individuals truly know how the flagship will look. Fans of the device will have to wait and see whether or not these leaks will mirror the real thing.

These leaked devices allegedly came from Google itself; someone from the inside managed to get hold of and release Google Pixel 3 units months before the release. The leaked product is said to cost around $2,000 each with most of them coming from the Ukrainian black market.

Google has yet to comment on this issue as it’s dealing with a situation where a product has yet to be released. However, it’s safe to say that the company is investigating how these Google Pixel 3 units got out and if they are indeed from Google itself and not just some imitation made by someone.

Whatever the case, the Google Pixel 3 is still highly anticipated by consumers, especially those that are fans of the flagship. While the price of the device hasn’t been revealed, it’s speculated that it will be similar to the smartphone’s predecessors, around $650 to $850 depending on the device’s variant.
