Donald Trump may no longer be actively taking care of his businesses but it still earns him a sizeable amount of money every year. However, his latest annual financial report showed that his favorite getaway destination, his Mar-a-Lago resort, earned less last year than in 2017.
Documents submitted to the Government Ethics Office show that Trump earned at least $434 million for the entire year of 2018. It is a slight dip from his 2017 after reporting a minimum revenue of $452 million.
The above-mentioned figures represent revenues collected from various businesses of Trump. But it is clear that the largest chunks of cash are coming in from a number of golf clubs and luxury resorts he owned.
As mentioned, the total amount reported minimum revenue from 2018 is lower than in 2017. One of the obvious contributing factors to that is Mar-a-Lago’s smaller reported income last year. The luxury resort in Palm Beach, Florida reportedly earned more than $22.6 million last year while in 2017 the resort venue earned $3 million more.
Another Florida-located business earned Trump a large sum of income in 2018. The Trump National Doral that has a golf course and resort amenities, situated in Miami, raked in over $75.9 million in 2018 alone.
The POTUS is also known for his list of hotel establishments. One of the most popular locations is definitely the Trump Tower in New York but his hotel in Washington, D.C. also added a large income in his annual report. For 2018, Trump reported earning more than $40 million from the White House-neighboring hotel.
Trump also owns several resorts and golf course businesses outside the United States. For one, his camp reported an annual income of more than $23.4 million last year from the Trump Turnberry. It is categorized in the documents as a “golf related venue” located in Turnberry, Scotland.
