Tesla is expanding the availability of its Autopark feature to more Cybertruck owners, introducing new automated parking options in the latest software update. The rollout follows weeks of limited testing among select beta users.
After launching Autopark to a small group of Cybertruck owners earlier last month, Tesla will soon expand the feature's availability, says Teslarati.
Cybertruck Autopark Rolling Out to More Owners
Tesla has reportedly sent two beta versions of Cybertruck Autopark to select testers in the last two weeks, according to Teslascope. Nevertheless, the news source discovered an upgrade on Saturday morning that will roll out Autopark on Tesla Vision to normal Cybertruck users for the first time. The update is scheduled to be released "shortly."
The aforementioned software update, version 2024.32.5.3, has only been detected on four vehicles as of this writing, according to Teslascope's website. Cybertruck owners who have bought or paid for Full Self-Driving (FSD) (Supervised) may see it in the coming days, however, the exact release date is still uncertain.
New Software Update Brings Expanded Features
In specific parking lot regions, users can utilize Autopark to execute automated and parallel parking procedures by only stopping close to a place and choosing one of the marked slots. "Continue to pay attention and be ready to take immediate action" is what Tesla says drivers should do while utilizing this and other Autopilot functions.
Last month, Tesla announced that it will unveil parking assistance capabilities for the electric vehicle (EV) Cybertruck first. However, the company has not yet rolled out FSD Supervised for the Cybertruck. The company plans to release the software on the Cybertruck this month, according to the Tesla AI account, which earlier this month shared a more comprehensive roadmap for FSD Supervised.
Full Self-Driving Features Expected Soon
Actually Smart Summon (ASS) is another innovation that Tesla has been rolling out recently. It allows drivers to call their cars from anywhere using the smartphone, including in parking spots. There have been early reviews of the much-anticipated ASS feature, and many of them have shown some really remarkable outcomes.
