Video game fans who have yet to play "Call of Duty: Vanguard" will have a chance to try the game's multiplayer gameplay for two weeks. Activision announced that the free access promo would let potential new players try several maps, including the new content released for Season 2.
It is not new for Activision to offer the multiplayer game mode for free for a limited period. But this is going to be the first time that the "Call of Duty: Vanguard" multiplayer will be available for two full weeks without paying for the game.
In an announcement post, the publisher confirmed that the two-week "Call of Duty: Vanguard" multiplayer free trial will allow fans to play on the new maps, Casablanca and Gondola, released as part of the game's Season 2 content. The game's latest season went live last Feb. 14.
Casablanca is described as a medium-sized, three-lane map set in a busy marketplace in Morocco. Because of its design, the map offers several opportunities to launch close combat. But it also features buildings perfect for players who prefer long-range attacks. Gondola's layout is similar to Casablanca's. But it primarily features a watchtower, a power plant, and caves where players can engage in close-quarter gunfights.
One of the newest additions to "Call of Duty: Vanguard" multiplayer is the Alps objective, where the main goal is to capture all bases to win the match. The multiplayer feature went live just last week, but it is also included in the features that fans can test during the two-week free access.
Activision will also offer older maps for fans to try in the "Call of Duty: Vanguard" multiplayer for free. The publisher says a Multiplayer Playlist will be available, consisting of the classic Shipment map and the small-sized map Das Haus that was first introduced in the 2021 game.
"'Vanguard' also includes other maps popular with the community like Hotel Royale, Dome, and Radar, which can be played on modes like Domination, Control, Hardpoint," Activision wrote. The upcoming "Call of Duty: Vanguard" multiplayer free access will kick off on Wednesday, March 30, and will be live through April 13.
