Snoop Dogg, one of the most popular and accomplished rappers alive, is coming to “Call of Duty” next month. Activision announced on Monday that he will be added as the newest Operator on three “Call of Duty” games and as part of the Season 3 updates.
Activision confirmed in a blog post that Snoop Dogg will be available as a playable Operator on all three games, “Call of Duty: Mobile,” “Call of Duty: Warzone,” and “Call of Duty: Vanguard.” The announcement should not be a surprise, though. Twitter user TheGhostofHope, who has leaked some “Call of Duty” content before, reported in February the rapper “really is in Vanguard.”
At the time, fans were clueless as to the extent of Snoop Dogg’s appearance in the games. As Activision also noted, the Death Row Records owner had been previously attached to the video game franchise. The publisher released a voiceover pack for “Call of Duty: Ghosts” with bringing Snoop Dogg’s voice into the game, but this will be the first time he appears in the first-person shooter series as a playable character.

Activision said the Snoop Dogg Operator will be available first on “Call of Duty: Mobile.” Players can get the rapper’s Operator through a Lucky Draw starting April 1. As seen in several promotional images, Snoop Dogg’s in-game attire lives up to his iconic style “decked out head-to-toe in a 24K gold embroidered outfit.” The bling extends to the Operator’s weapon designed based on the Legendary SMG covered in gold and diamonds.
As mentioned, Snoop Dogg arrives in “Call of Duty: Mobile” as part of the Season 3 content. But Activision has yet to announce other features coming with the next season.
Meanwhile, “Call of Duty: Warzone” and “Call of Duty: Vanguard” players will be able to purchase the Snoop Dogg Operator Bundle starting April 19 at 10 a.m. PT. “And just so we’re clear on high-level details: the Snoop Dogg in Vanguard and Warzone is separate from the Snoop Dogg in Call of Duty: Mobile,” Activision said. The Snoop Dogg Operator Bundle will include a total of 10 items with a complete progression track, but three of these items are exclusive to “Warzone.”
