‘Boruto’ chapter 53 release date, spoilers, predictions: Kawaki’s karma seal could return right before Isshiki dies

Naruto’s possible death is not the only thing manga readers should watch out for in “Boruto” chapter 53, especially now that Kawaki was teleported into the battlefield. It should be noted that Isshiki still has time to place a karma seal back to his perfect vessel before he ultimately dies.

Using Naruto’s chakra, which also powers Kawaki’s prosthetic hand, Isshiki managed to force him into the foreign dimension where their fight has been taking place. This means he is much closer to putting karma seal back on Kawaki in “Boruto” chapter 53, thus, prolonging his life to plant the Divine Tree.

Some fans might argue that Isshiki only has a few minutes left to leave. But that amount of time can do so much in a shonen series like “Boruto.” So fans should not yet rule out the possibility for Isshiki to pull a last-minute attempt in placing a karma seal on Kawaki.

Meanwhile, the very likely awakening of Momoshiki through Boruto’s body also opens many possibilities for “Boruto” chapter 53. Being an Otsutsuki, Momoshiki might have enough reason to help Isshiki win this fight. However, he may have also heard already that Isshiki plans to feed him to the Ten-Tails to grow a Divine Tree and that could also be grounds for him to fight his family.

What does a karma seal do?

Amado previously revealed that karma seals are practically backup copies of the consciousness of Otsutsuki clan members. Karma gradually allows the person that placed it to take over the body of anyone who received the seal.

However, in the same flash-forward scene, Boruto appears to still be acting as himself even though he is already using karma seal’s power. He has also addressed Kawaki by his name suggesting that he is fighting Kawaki and not Isshiki just like what has been happening since Isshiki took control of Jigen’s body. It is one mystery that might not be answered yet in “Boruto” chapter 53.
