The man behind the mysterious character Saul surely knows his craft and owns it. The hit TV series ‘Better Call Saul’ is slowly but surely gaining momentum with its episodes. And as for its recent episode titled ‘Gloves Off’, stories are getting better and prequels are given justices so that people will still watch it given that we already know how it will end.
The episode started showing Mike, and it would seem like he is dealing with dangerous things. We saw him throwing a huge wad of money on the table as he arrived home late. He then opens the fridge to take out some frozen vegetables only to find out that he’s going to apply to a beaten up face. What could have possibly happened that led to this?
Meanwhile, Jimmy is being reprimanded for running his Bergman-esque commercial last week. The partners at D&M are considering on firing him and they want to know if he can be “part of a team,” which (we know) he can’t, not really, but he says he can. The commercial, Jimmy repeats, cost less than $1,400 and brought in hundreds of new Sandpiper residents. The partners vote 2-1 to fire him, but Cliff believes in second chances and gives Jimmy one last shot, but now with more supervision, saying
“The vote is currently 2-1 to fire you for cause. However, I believe in second chances. Know this is strike one and strike two.” Good for Jimmy.
Kim, on the other hand, is getting the worse out of what Jimmy did. She is dumped by Howard and Chuck because Jimmy’s action and mostly because Chuck is jealous of Jimmy.
Speaking of Chuck, Jimmy leaves the office and shows up at his house. He ditches his electronics to be civil. Chuck is looking crazy as ever, wrapped in his aluminum blanket, sounding in some discomfort. Jimmy’s brotherly instincts kick in, and he goes to aid his brother, despite Chuck’s treacherous nature to Jimmy. He even thought of quitting law because he knows that what Chuck wants.
