Several reputable publications claimed to have sources confirming Ben Affleck and Shauna Sexton’s split. But there is a new rumor saying the actor is still seeing her and hoping to include the Playboy model in the cast of his upcoming movie.
The tabloid Star reported (via Gossip Cop) that Affleck is pulling some strings to help Sexton land her first acting gig in the upcoming movie “Torrance.” Star cited a source who claimed the “Justice League” actor was, however, not fully convinced with the idea of having Sexton on the set as his co-star.
However, Gossip Cop called out Star’s reporting as having some inconsistencies. Part of the rumor stated that Affleck and Sexton are still seeing each other. The celeb rumor fact-checking outlet reiterated that many reputable publications confirmed Affleck called it quits with Sexton a few weeks ago. And if Affleck really wanted to include the Playboy model in the cast, it would have been an easy task since Affleck is one of the producers of “Torrance.”
Gossip Cop concluded that Star’s claims are false, stating they have a “mutual friend” with Affleck who commented that Star’s story is “foolish.” While the rumor of Sexton joining Affleck in “Torrance” was dismissed, other reports confirmed that “True Blood” alum Janina Gavankar’s reps are discussing the possibility of having her as Affleck’s female lead co-star.
Shortly after Affleck finished his 40-day rehab program and confirmed he was continuing outpatient treatment, reports about his breakup with Sexton started spreading. About a couple of weeks ago, the model responded to these reports by implying they were not completely accurate.
“Don't believe everything you read on the internet,” Sexton told DailyMailTV. “I know [there are lots of unnamed insiders] -- and they just make s*** up, just like this.” However, Page Six reported on the same day that Affleck has, indeed, ended things with the model.
