BTS is still in the U.S. after performing at the 62nd Grammy Awards the past weekend. The group performed on stage with the American rapper, Lil Nas X. The awards ceremony was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, and the idol singers were able to collaborate with other popular American singers as well.
BTS in James Corden’s show
After their schedule for the Grammy’s, BTS did not go back to South Korea at once because they still have several shows to appear on as guests. On their schedule, a guesting gig on James Corden’s “Late Late Show” was listed, so members RM, Jungkook, V, Jimin, Jin, J-Hope, and Suga were in the CBS studio on Jan. 28.
As mentioned in Variety, this is BTS’ third appearance in the late-night show, and they were there to promote their newest album “Map of the Soul: 7.” The seven members performed "Black Swan," one of their new songs included in the album, and that was the first time that the group showed its choreography to the public.
Another guest in the studio was Ashton Kutcher, and fans were thrilled as he played along with the BTS guys during the show’s hide and seek segment. Fans are pleased that the Americans are treating the Korean singers so well, so their good words for Ashton Kutcher and James Corden trended on social media.
ARMY donates
Seeing how well the BTS members were treated on the James Corden show, The Daily Mail reported that fans of the band called the ARMYs had expressed their gratitude for their kindness by donating a huge sum for Magic Breakfast, a charity that Corden supports.
It started when one fan wrote on Twitter: “So James Corden treats BTS and ARMY always so kindly and makes everyone feel welcomed at his show. There is a charity called @magic_breakfast that he supports. Maybe we could donate there to say thank you.”
Seeing the post, Corden replied: “If you can, take a look at this wonderful charity @magic_breakfast I found their work to be inspiring and necessary for children in the UK who desperately need help. Particularly at this moment in time.”
Buzzfeed reported that ARMYs were able to raise over $9,800 in mere 17 hours. This amount will be able to provide breakfast for at least 25,400 children in Scotland and England.
