BTS V and the rest of the group members dropped their “Map of the Soul:7” album in February. The album also contained songs that some of the members sung individually and V is one of those who have a solo track.
V’s solo
BTS V or Kim Taehyung wrote and performed “Sweet Night” and this was included in the album. His solo single was well-received and continues to gather attention despite this time of crisis around the world. As per Forbes, the song debuted at no. 2 at Billboard’s Digital Song Sales Chart for this week’s record. Based on the information provided by Nielsen Music, the track sold more than 11,000 copies.
Truly, BTS V showed that he can already produce his own songs and make it a hit. He is definitely, one of the most followed and talented members of BTS.
But sadly, V and his co-members can’t continue to actively promote their album due to the coronavirus pandemic that is affecting many countries worldwide. This is also the reason why their concerts in South Korea have been canceled. The said performances were supposed to kickstart the group’s world tour that was originally set to begin in April.
At this time, V and the rest of the BTS members are laying low to help prevent the spread of the deadly COVID-19 infection. It is not yet certain when the group’s activities will resume as no one can say when the pandemic will end either.
BTS V and Park Seo Joon’s friendship
Meanwhile, as BTS was forced to end their promotion for “Map of the Soul: 7” album early, they have more free time and V decided to spend it by visiting his friends. Just recently, he was spotted attending the last filming day of the hit drama “Itaewon Class.”
In a photo shared to on social media by one of the drama’s crew, V could be seen posing with the cast members and production team. It is not just to support his close friend Park Seo Joon but he is somehow part of the hit show as well since his “Sweet Night” track has been designated as the drama’s OST.
